This includes directing IT operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing infrastructure, applications, and development of new technical solutions. This position is a hands-on working Manager position and reports to the VP of Human Resources.Primary ResponsibilitiesBe a positive leader for IT staff;Oversee IT operations and supervise systems;Develop strategy as it relates to the organization's IT infrastructure (computer and information systems, security, communication systems);Identifying vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvement.Developing, implementing, and evaluating IT projects in line with organizational objectives.Develop, manage, and track the IT department's annual spend;Proposing strategic solutions and recommending new systems and software.Consult senior-level stakeholders across the entire organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology;Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance;Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems;Provide direction, guidance, and training to IT staff;Ensuring reported issues are resolved in a timely manner;QualificationsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field;5 years of progressive IT leadership experience and a minimum of 2 years' experience at a management level;Advanced experience in software development and building software development teams;Significant depth in IT technologies and best practices, including network infrastructure (Cisco), Cloud-based infrastructure, virtualization (VMWare), IP Telephony (Cisco), enterprise applications, cybersecurity, and data warehouses;A track record of building and leading high performing IT security teams that achieve measurable objectives;Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills;Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users;Extremely disciplined approach to execution and follow-through with a demonstrated ability to swiftly establish metrics-based management systems;Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting goals and deadlines under pressure;Candidates with retail experience will be prioritized;
